SCIENCES LESSONS AT 2ND B

2ND ESO B  ALSO TAKES SOME SCIENCE LESSONS!!

LESSON 1, TYPES OF SCIENCES

That was the first lesson that we learned. The teacher made groups of 3 and for each group she told us a different type of science. Each to group had to explain it to with a power point. We had to present the power point orally to all class.

LESSON 2, THE PARTS OF THE RIVER

In science class we practiced the parts of the river. The first exercise that we did was a photocopy that had a photo with some word boxes and we had to fill them in and match the words with the parts. Next class, the teacher played a video with real photos of the river parts. After that, we worked in groups of 3 or 4 people and we did a web quest called “Exploring the Mississippi River”.  With the information we did a leaflet and we hang them around class.

LESSON 3, VOLCANOES AND EARTHQUAKES

In science we practised the volcanoes and earthquakes. First the teacher handed out a text cut it in parts in groups of 3 or 4. We translated the words we did not understand. Next class, we prepared a Glogster or power point about it and presented for the rest of the class.

LESSON 4, FAULTS AND FOLD

In natural science we studied the faults and folds, so in science in English we thought that was good to practise about it. First of all, the teacher explained us all the parts. We watch some videos about faults and folds to know about the differences. After that, we had to choose a photo of real fault and fold and then, we drew it “With the eyes of a geologist” on a cardboard.
